Charming San Diego Wedding
If I could come up with one word to describe this wedding, it would be fiesta! This wedding was a PARTY. So many family and friends celebrating the hispanic heritage of both Jackie and Paul's families. It also brought back memories for me of when I lived in Mexico for a year and a half for my mission, so this wedding holds a special place in my heart.

Now, if I had to pick a second word to describe the wedding, it would hands down be LEGOs. Now, you're probably thinking, "how the heck do LEGOs and weddings go together?" Let me explain...

LEGOs are a huge thing for Jackie. Her whole family love them, and most especially her. Since it's such a fun and big part of her life, they wanted to incorporate them in a unique way. To be honest, when I first heard that they were basing a lot of their wedding off of LEGOs I was skeptical. BUT, it turned out SO DANG CUTE!! They had LEGOs on each table for the guest to build something while they ate. They used a lot of the typical LEGO colors in their wedding decor and flowers. And, of course, they had a LEGO wedding topper which just took the cake in my opinion.... See what I did there ;)

From the start the day to when they drove off for their honeymoon, it was nothing but joy. The pure joy and love that Jackie and Paul share is so special to witness. I seriously feel so blessed to know them and to have been able to photograph their wedding day.

The day started out sunny and beautiful at the San Diego Temple. The moment they came walking out of them temple as husband and wife, we all cheered! What an exciting moment to witness. The moment after a couple is married is my favorite. The joy and giddiness are real and tangible. After we finished taking family photos at the temple, Jackie and Paul headed off on a picnic at the beach until the reception, and I followed the family to Jackie's house where the reception was being held. It was so fun watching Jackie's family interact and set up everything. It definitely helped me see where she gets her fun and bubbly personality from!

The rest of the night went off without a hitch! They had delicious Mexican food, inspirational family speeches, hilarious bride and groom games, money dancing, and a mariachi band. That's why I said the one word to describe this wedding would be fiesta, because it was exactly that! Such a fun night and one I won't soon forget!
