Romantic Balboa Engagement

I'm so excited to share this Balboa Shoot! The flowers were in full bloom, the birds were chirping, and Balboa Park was packed to the brim with families! It was so much catching the quiet moments and stealing of kisses through everything going on around us. Jackie & Paul are so in love with each other! They're love is so infectious.

I had received a message from one of my previous brides saying that her sister-in-law was getting married and gave her my information! I was immediately so excited, because I LOVED spending time with their family on her wedding day and as always, I always get excited about shooting weddings! They hold a special place in my heart. And as we all know, before every wedding there is an engagement. Which is equally amazing and special! Jackie really wanted to do the engagements in Balboa which is one of the most iconic spots in San Diego. It has Spanish style buildings and beautiful gardens. Fun fact, my husband Sterling actually had his senior prom at Balboa park in the Natural History Museum!

We started out the session in the cactus gardens and moved to the rose gardens. I had never heard of a cactus garden, but I think i fell in love with them! I could shoot every session in a cactus garden! Toward the end of the session, we decided to do photos in the large outdoor auditorium which is usually super crowded. I was really worried that we were going to be competing for the perfect spots, but when we got there there was no one there, which was a HUGE blessing! We had the place all to ourselves and Jackie & Paul we're able to focus on what was most important... each other!
